Data Sources & Transparency
We believe parents deserve complete clarity on where our data originates, how often it updates, and how our benchmarks are computed.
Primary Official Data Sources
Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA)
Official AuthorityThe regulatory authority of the Government of Dubai responsible for the growth and quality of private education. We ingest official annual inspection ratings, DSIB key findings, and accredited curriculum designations.
Dubai Pulse / Data.Dubai Open Data Platform
Government Open DataDubai's centralized open data platform operated by Digital Dubai under the Dubai Data Law. Datasets include the official Private Schools Register, licensed locations, student enrollment statistics, and historical ratings.
KHDA School Fees Fact Sheets
Statutory Fee RegistryStandardized financial documents published annually for each licensed private school in Dubai. We map grade-level mandatory tuition, registration fee caps, and approved optional services directly from these fact sheets.
OpenStreetMap & Nominatim Geocoding
Geospatial MappingGeographic coordinates, community boundaries, and map display tiles are sourced from OpenStreetMap contributors under the Open Database License (ODbL).
Data Ingestion Pipeline & Verification
All datasets are validated through our automated Python ingestion pipeline (`pipeline.py`). If a specific metric—such as student capacity or teacher turnover—is omitted from an individual school's published DSIB report, our database explicitly records "Not available" rather than fabricating or guessing figures.
Update Cadence
Our data is systematically refreshed each academic term and immediately following the annual release of DSIB inspection findings by the KHDA.
